BLACKEN OPEN AIR RETURNS IN 2022
After three long and arduous years, Blacken Open Air announces its return to the Dead Centre of Australia. This winter, we will gather together on Arrernte country, at Inteyerrkwe, Ross River Resort.
With national and international borders opening, we feel we can finally make this happen. All the details, including who’s playing, will be announced in the coming weeks. We will do our best to bring back the postponed lineup, but where we can’t make that work, we will find incredible replacements.
A limited amount of early bird tickets are on sale now at http://blackenfestival.com
We want to give a heartfelt thanks to the those of you who have held onto your 2021 tickets. They have been automatically transferred to the new dates. You legends have kept the dream alive.

- There are a few stretches along the Ross Highway that are one lane, meaning; room for one vehicle only. The “rule” around these one-lane stretches; if a heavy vehicle is coming towards you, you MUST pull off the road completely and let it pass. You can then continue on your journey
- Don’t hit a cow man. The road to Blacken Open Air is cattle country. Please don’t underestimate the dangers. Cattle and wild brumbies roam free on the road. A sharp eye is paramount while driving the Ross Highway. Tell your passengers to be spotters along the way.
